Love, Noa Boutique welcomed more than 15 girls, moms, aunts, and grannies to hear Makanaka's adventure to Morocco! Read by local author Christine Mapondera-Talley, attendees were swept away to the beautiful country of Morocco as they sat riveted to find out how Makanaka would get back home after her space-travel rocket was damaged.
The girls dined on traditional Moroccan pastries and treats and drank mint tea while receiving an awesome cultural experience that included henna tattoos from a local henna artist. Girls and moms alike enjoyed this evening of culture, literacy and fun!
If you weren't able to make this awesome event, don't worry there will be many more to follow! Makanaka's adventure is just the first of many stories of strong girls doing awesome things that we'll be showcasing in the Love, Noa space. It is our goal to show our girls that they too are strong and smart and capable of doing not only anything they want, but EVERYTHING that they want! Love, Noa Boutique is not just a space for pretty clothes - and we have some cute stuff! - but it is also a space for learning and experiencing.
